“The emergence of a new kind of human being is not only possible, but inevitable.”
— Sri Aurobindo
I am still feeling the energy from today’s moving gathering. I had no idea how it would unfold—only that I would arrive empty and fully present with you. Your openness, authenticity, and vulnerability moved me deeply. It is only through radical transparency that we begin to see—and be shown—the parts of ourselves that need healing, as well as the parts of ourselves and the people that can facilitate the healing.
As we discussed, we must forge new pathways in our physical environments—safe spaces devoted to this kind of attentive listening, transparency, honesty, and support. Together, we can begin to release the sense of isolation and helplessness so many of us carry, and begin to evolve both our individual and collective lives.
We didn’t get a chance to discuss how we would like to move forward. I invite you to share any feelings, reflections, or suggestions in the comments so we can all “hear” and learn from one another.
In the meantime, a new letter will be posted this coming weekend. Stay tuned.
With love and appreciation,
Ronit
I loved being a part of this group and feeling safe in my vulnerability based on the expression of truth and vulnerability in others. Everyone was a delicious treat, almost like a yummy fruit salad.
I would like to read a few more letters and hold another gathering (possibly in August) to check in with one another and ground in where we are in that now. I would also like to reflect on the content of the letters that were most difficult or challenging for me and others to fully absorb. It would be nice to hear if people took and applied the practice of an accountability partner and how that is going.
