A Pause Before the Book

Dear Friends,

There’s a piece of news I’ve been waiting to share: Dear Future Human is complete. The full letter series is written.

Now I’m turning to the next phase, the editing. Not only the final four letters that bring the series to a close, but also the material I’ve already shared here. I’ll be going deep, streamlining the threads that run through the letters and opening the writing so it reads more accessibly, with less density.

Because of that, I’m going to pause publication of the final four letters until this process is complete. My hope is to have the book ready by September.

In the meantime, you’ll still hear from me here. I’ll be sharing other writing and reflections as the work continues, and I’d love for this to remain a two-way exchange. If something I’ve written is sitting with you, please write to me. I read everything.

And for those who want to go deeper, I’m always glad to connect more directly. We can meet on Zoom, the way some of us have before, for about an hour and a half of real conversation. Just reach out.
